frame mods

the key is the frame solid enough to start no rusty thin areas. If you are a good welder cut and fit for tight joints sometimes the frames ar tapered and you can telescope one piece inside the other.. grind and bevel for the welds. wire wheel and inspect the finished welds and if you have two pieces butted together add reinforcing plates inside and weld them in for added strength
