with a 69 velle, and all the parts aval.. I'd run drop spindles, not springs.
if thats to rich for your blood.. drop springs for these are not all much..

as far as cut coils and ride.. cut small block coils ride just fine with a big block in the nose..

He wanted to raise it 2"
so he put in new springs
but, that raised it 3" (thats 1" too much)
so now he is going to cut the new coils, to lower it 1"
to get the originally desired, 2" raise in height

AH got it..
1/2 coil will be about 1.5" on a chevelle
I'd wait. it'll drop about an 3/4" on it's own .. in about a year
