I did a ton of glass work on my car. I chopped and stretched the body, installed the floor, pushed out the firewall, built a steel reinforcement cage inside (all glassed into the outer body skin), put the outter skins of the doors and trunk lid onto the inner panels - and on and on. Yeah, its a huge job and takes a long time. Its not like working with steel were you can just put a tack here and there.

I am not quite sure what you are asking by cutting the doors. If you have a convert, this would make things a little easier. What kind of hinges are you using? Stock style or hidden? Does your body have the inner structure already? If so, most bodies will have the provision for hidden hinges integrated into the structure.

dragster shell ?

Years ago there were a few companies that made only a shell body for mounting on a drags- bonneville -lakes chassis If that is what you have you will want to build the inner wood-steel structure, glass it to the body before cutting out the doors.

We need pictures to better help you... If the car has no door jam's, They will need to be built before you cut out the door,,Not all of them,,, But anything that you could glass in before you do any cutting,, Post some pictures of what you have,, Then it will be easier to give you the right answer..
