I don't have access to professional shop tools so what would be the next easiest and neatest way with home workshop tools. The hole will be about 11 inches diameter and it's for an early Mustang hood. Thanks

Might as well use a blowtorch, since you are ruining it anyways....................................

If you are going to cover it with a decent scoop, use a nibbler. If you can't get one of those, a jigsaw with a metal blade will work.

Before I got all the tools in the tool store, a common jig saw with a metal blade would have done that job lickity split.

The one thing I can say about the whole thing, MEASURE TWICE (no THREE OR FOUR TIMES ) and cut once. :)
