Cutting Material?

A question about cutting: i'm making straight lines but seem to be off on cutting by an extremely minute amount - less than 1/32 of an inch. how bad will this effect my work? Im using scissirs and just don't have the eye to cut perfectly straight lines.

It won't affect your work one tiny little bit, assuming you can sew straight lines. It's not like cutting wood or metal, which doesn't stretch and may need to be precision cut.
