Cylinder Bore Size

I am building a 377 from a 76 SBC and today i measured the bores with an inside bore micrometer. I honed the bores last week and cleaned them all up real nice and then crosshatched them. When I measured the bores, they are still STD and they seem to be perfectly straight. I did not get any size fluctuations and the micrometer stayed tight in the bore and didnt snag as I went up and down each cylinder. So if these measurements are all right, am i good to just get a STD size kit? Just wondering what your guys opinions are.

If theres no ring ridge at the top of the bore ive done what you did with no probs but this has been for a work car.

In your case if your building some grunt and are using moly rings id take the block to a respected machinist for his evaluation.

If your buying forged pistons, most of these are made to order now for any bore size.
