Your tag $$$ are about the same as ours ..maybe + a little.
I paid $115 I think for a 15k tag for my 1 ton dually. It's as high as you can get for this truck. Why should I get a 9k tag when it probably weighs more than that with any trailer I would pull. Nonsense.

Seems to me that if your business is trucking that license and tag cost is the least of your worries. If you cost per mile those it could get to the 4th decimal point easy so totally insignificant compared to what it might cost in court time and travel time lost. Again cost per hour or cost per minute. Depends on your accounting.

To me it is a total waste of $$$ to pay a fine for out of spec. equipment or speeding or other traffic violations. Why flaunt it and risk giving $$$ away to an organization that will simply waste it again. If you want to do that there are lots of people (me) who could really use a few extra $$$ in our pockets. haha

Almost as funny as here in WI with seeing a 4X4 Crew Cab Dually Dodge Ram with dealer issued ( ) 4,500 lb. plates. My 2wd '97 extended cab Silverado tips the scales at 5,300 lbs. How can the dealer get away with getting plates like that?

In a while, Chet.
