Goof-off is a cleaner /solvent that takes off dang near everything. It's fumy , so use it outside and wear rubber gloves.
As far as tools go , Sockets , ratchets, screw drivers , vise grips , adjustable wrenches, and allen keys are all useful to hang on to .
