Dan-MIG Welders?

There's a guy selling a Dan-Mig 5000 140 Amp MIG welder with tank, stand, some extra tips, and 33lbs of wire for $300 by me on Craigslist. Has anyone heard of the company or if they are quality units?

I bought a used Dan-Mig 140 welder with tank for $300 about 1 year ago and like it. Don't know how it compares to a Miller or Lincoln but it is heads above a harbor freight unit. There is support for it in the U.S. and I think it is from Germany or Austria. Google "Dan-Mig welders" to find dealers and for support. $300 sounds like a deal. The bottle depending on size will retail for $300. I'm thinking because Dan-Mig is not a house hold name is why they sell for cheap. As with Tig and other welding, the metals for Mig need to be clean, clean, clean for the best welds.

Good Luck,

Jack.

Puma,

I have a Dan-Mig 140 and it is not a Daytona. Mine was the first I had seen and 65fords' is only the 3rd I have heard of. If you Google "Dan-Mig" you will see what they look, the specs and prices.

Jack.
