Post Dana 44, ring and pinion????

I am putting a jag rear suspension in my 32 ford, i am running a 700R4 and 275/60r15 The gearing i now 3.00:1 but i figure that with the 700r4 33% OD i can get away with running a 4.10:1 gearing.

noy for the big question, where can i buy dana-44 (which is inside the jag caseing)gears??? i havent been able to find them anywhere! many people sell the gasket sets and so on but not the gears and i absolutely refuse to buy them from jeguar, they charge almost 800USD for them, just because it says jag on the box it comes in...

Look in the new Jegs mag. page 151, Dana 44 is used in many 4X4s and Vett and Dodge Viper or go to, jegs.com

Yes i think you will need a spacer or find a thick replacment gear set, you may find a carrier in junk yard from 60-70s front axels most were 4.10s with the manual trans.
