DANA or MOOG balljoints????

I need to buy balljoints, tie rod ends, bushings, etc... for my Son's 70 Nova. performancesuspension.com has a nice kit with poly ghaphite bushings and all the joints and ends we need at a good price $270 but I'm a little apprehensive on the joint quality. The balljoints and ends are made by DANA. So to the question: What's the general concensus here on DANA quality? Are they as good as the Moog stuff? Bob

Not sure on the Dana's. Moog has two lines, one is an import and one is domestic. There is quite a difference in price. Shop around, maybe even check www.rockauto.com on pricing.

Federal Mogul (parent company of Moog, Sealed Power, Felpro, Wagner, Champion, etc. etc.) has an online catalog system.

Go here: http://www.federalmogul.com/aftermar...tm?Country=USA

and click on the 'Catalogs' link.

I've used it before to find part numbers, then you can google the part numbers, or put them in possible vendors (Rock Auto usually has the best prices that I can find) to shop around.

I have had nothing but good results with Moog, that is what I use here at the shop on most cars and trucks. But I have no complaints about the DANA brand other than if I remember correctly they declared bankruptcy a few months back, so be careful of their quality. ( Maybe someone else's parts in a DANA box).

In all my previous experiences DANA stuff is as good as factory stuff and MOOG is a bit better. Both companies have had financial trouble
