DANNMAR D-7 Garage Lift?

Am considering buying a DANNMAR D-7 7000# capacity four post storage lift.

Yes, I know that it is foreign made and all the stigma that goes with that, but does anyone have any personal hands-on knowledge and experience with one?

If so - what is your opinion?

Guys,

I have decided to scrap the idea oof this lift.

Upon further investigation and research, I have concluded that the Chinese built lifts (whether this one or one of the several dozen clones) is just not the way to go for me.

There are several really good AMERICAN BUILT lifts out there that are just quite frankly - better investments for me.

To each his own, but if you are at all interested in what I (with helpful feedback from another thread) am coming down to is a coice between one of the following three (1) BackYard Buddy STD 7000# (2) All American M-813 and (3) ClassicLifts 8000#.

I know that there are other good ones out there, but I like the design and features of these for my needs best of all that I have looked at.

Backyard Buddy 7000#

I own a backyard buddy (they are just a few miles from the house I have in Canfield, OH) and it's awesome! I looked it over very closely and did some research before buying - very happy with my decision. Best of luck.

I'm with you Tex, I was going with the Classic after comparing the same three, but I just cannot justify the cost right now. I can get too much done on the cars for what the US made lifts cost, but I do know I don't want an import.
So I guess it'll have to wait. A little while anyway.

The biggest issues I had with BYB was the cost and the way he put down everybody elses lift instead of telling me about his. The AA lift I was nervous about because of the closing and re-opening of the company under a new name.
All the major lift mfg's were at the Spring Charlotte show so I got to see several. The US made are better built for sure but about double the price of an import.

PM me if you go by Classic and check them out. Like as much feedback as possible.
