Dart SS 165 Intake Runners with XE268 cam

Hey, Anyone using the Dart 165ss 1.94/1.5 heads with the
Comp cam XE268 cam in a chevy 355 ??

I just installed an xe268, but im running stock GM 1.94s. whats on your mind?

Sounds like a good combo as long as you've got at least 9:1, preferable a tick higher.

I ran this cam before swapping to a solid. It was on a 327 with 462's (1.94's) and 9.5:1. Ran strong 2,000 and up.

Dart SS 165 Intake Runners with XE268 cam

Hey, thanks for the replys. I have looked at several builds and
have asked many ?'s about different setups and I am pretty sure
that this is the right build for me. I want as much power as I can
get from this 350 for my 91 S10 Blazer. A freind of mine has this
setup, but with vortec's and a 800 Edelbrock carb. He was making
410 hp and 430 tq. on his engine. If I can make 360 hp and 400 tq.
I will be very happy!!!! I already have the dart ss 165's with 1.94/
1.5 valves, A weiand action plus (idle- 6000) A 770 street avenger,
Block bored .030, and decked. KB120 flat-tops giving me 9.5 compression with heads shaved to 70cc combustion chambers, And the heads are
port polished and gasket matched, with manley street master straight
stem intake and race flow undercut exhaust valves. I got all new comp cam
springs to match cam XE268 rpm 1600-5800. 477/480lift. And I will be
getting an upgrade on the stall. I have a 350 trans. and a 700r4,, I
also have a 342 eaton postive rear-end.

Does this look good for 360hp and 400 tq. Anymore comment?

since that is going in a blazer with a 3.42 gear (if you haven't purchased the parts already) I would look at the XE 262 cam. You'll still lay down 360 or more and defenitely hit your torque figure with room to spare.
