No I did not, I can't get the hood on the truck if I do. I am painting it now and raised the suspension up 4" and I will put a 4" cowl hood on it this time and can try that. I have read that the 850 Dp is the worst carb holley has made. What has been your experiance with it? I replaced the tank and added an over sized inlet and I am replacing the fuel line and adding a electric pump with new filter.

YEP ^^^, if you want the worst Holley carb, a case could be made for the "so called" 950HP - ...yah, lets take a 750 main body, install an 850 baseplate on it, and market it as a 950...how does that add up?? Carb actualy flows about 820ish cfm.

Nothing wrong with the 850 DP.

Talking about the cowl- ever wonder why all of those aftermarket hoods have the cowl facing the wrong direction? Racers who put their own on usually face it the right way but its rare to find the aftermarket hoods done right.
