Dash pad removal
Hope I'm in the right forum. I have a 1980 Z28 Camaro thats in need of a dash pad (no dash cover suggestion please) I have never done this before and is a first. I have some detailed books but is their any hidden gremlins that any one knows and of course tips, suggestions, maybe video
Thanks Ladies and Gents |

At the risk of over -simplifying the whole process, basically you need to stick your head under the dash and locate any fasteners holding the dash pad on and remove them. My suggestion for you would be to go to one of the Camaro or Chevy owners forums and ask your question there. ( I just checked there, and I see you have already done that)
I have a 75 Camaro Rally Sport (no Z-28 that year) that needs a dash pad (2nd generation, same as yours, but different dash cover), but I am going to use a Coverlay dash cover which goes on over the top of the old one. Check it out HERE Good Luck.
