Dash Removal

Anyone know how to remove the whole dash from a 57 Nomad? I want to redo the wiring and the floor behind the dash. I also have a serious electrical problem behind there somewhere and I thought it may be more convient to remove the whole dash. I'm shadetree mechanic at best and I don't want to bite off more than I can chew. Is it hard?

sounds like I better get used to laying down and looking up. If you've ever seen rolling "concert smoke", thats what came out from behind my dash. It has to be a main wire because it killed the lights and everything for about 4 seconds. Major short somewhere. thanks for the advise. you've convinced me not to remove the dash.
