Dash repair.

If any of you followed one of my previous threads, i have just purchased a 70 SS chevelle dash. *Pics here*
It has a few imperfections that i want to correct mainly holes and scuffs.
I bought some Permatex 5 min plastic weld for a couple bux and was wondering if i can use that to fill the holes with.
I need something that is sandable and permanent.
Or should i just go with Eastwoods Kit
Also before i paint i obviously need to clean it up.
What should i use for that?

That is hard plastic so any resin based patching material should work. 5-minute JB weld comes to mind as a product that should result in a patch with properties similar to the base plastic. They are small enough that I would fill the holes then sand and carve the pattern in. Wipe it sown w/ lacquer cleaner and spray it with a coat of epoxy primer. Precision sand the patches and any other blemishes that show up under the primer coat to perfection then spray with the final color.
