de- hump

I have a 35 ford tudor humpback. I'm considering turning it into a 35 ford flatback. In otherwords, cutting off the hump. Has anyone out there ever done this? Looks real basic and straight forward, but too many times what looks easy turns into one hell of a job. Any comments appreciated.

Does the Ford have a flat trunk lid or does it curve over the top of the hump like the GM cars of that era? If it is flat and you have basic sheet metal, and MIG welding skills, it sounds like it is do-able. I would attack it if I was after that look, but I also built my own 2-story house without any help so don't go by me.
