Dearborn Deuce on the Dyno (video inside)

My never-ending story of a '32 Ford build (or re-rebuild) is finally coming to an end. I brought the Dearborn Deuce down to the dyno on Tuesday to calibrate the new F.A.S.T XFI ECU.

This car is built to be a daily driver - not a race car (this is Minnesota, with a few exceptions, race tracks are not allowed here).

It's a fairly mild engine internally. It's a new 327 short block with Dart heads, and a customized Hilborn EFI intake system (custom plenum was added under the throttle bodies to even out the vacuum signals between cylinders, and allow the use of IAC and PCV valves. 9.5:1 CR and MSD 6al (chipped @ 6,000).

After getting the fuel and spark tables worked out, we did a few pulls for top end power - turns out that the injectors are maxed out at about 4800 RPM. We got 250 HP and 275 ft-lbs at 5000 RPM. The engine has excellent low end power for a 327, which was the goal for the engine builder.
