"THE" Debate ?

Anyone got any thoughts on last nights bi-partisan Political Rally - - er uh Debate, I mean ?

'Bout the only thing I got was McCain's experience and record makes him slightly more creditable - - other than that, just BS and Politics as usual IMHO.

(didn't see this topic anywhere else this morning)

To my mind, the fewer fireworks we see at a debate, the better it is for the voting public. I always get annoyed when the media and some in the general public want to anoint a winner and loser after every debate (I think there were at least a dozen web sites you could visit after the debate and participate in polls to determine a winner and loser). So I'm glad W.R. basically saw this one as a "draw".

It just seems to me, the sign a of a good debate is when both participants are able to provide the listening public with as full and complete of a description of their respective positions as is possible. If one candidate "triumphs" with snappy zingers and attempts at humiliating the opponent, it is the public who loses...not the opponent. What I want to know is where the candidates stand...not how good they are at putting down their adversary.

It may make for a relatively boring evening of TV, but I believe the "draw" type of debate that occurred last night IS good for voters and is the real purpose in holding these events.

I don't remember where this came from , a old joke?

The school teacher;

We would leave Lil Johnny Behind another year but it would be a monumental waste of milk.
That is what comes to mind after watching that debate drivel.

Yea they talk about key issues but talk is cheap.
I think who ever looses they should be the Vice president just so they both suffer.

So that is it , the American voters have.

O Satan or Mc Satan to vote for.

A monumental waste of milk
In My Humble Opinion.

On the other hand would you want to take a job that would require revamping a failing, sometimes antiquated system?

I would, but Y'all already know the boy aint wraped too tight.

I felt the same way, and I love this stuff. That debate reminded me of a forum with people bickering at one and other without every really saying anything!

I thought it was BULL CHIT plain and simple.

I am wondering if the VP debate will be anymore entertaining.

Brian
