Post Decipher Block Casting Number

Can anyone decipher the engine block casting number 3789995 for me. It is a SBC 327. I don't have any numbers manuals, but I've search the web and can't seem to find that particular casting number. This same block also has the suffix code (F083ID) I have found references on the web that decipher this as Flint, August 3rd, Spec. Hi-perf 4bbl. Thanks for any help.

re check those numbers. I find no listing for 3789995. There is a 3789935. I used Mortec.com. I suspect the 3 is a 9 in which case is would be a 61 to 62 283.
Hope this is of some help to you.

I have rechecked the numbers and it is as far as I can tell, it is 3789995. I have to admit that the last nine looks a little bit questionable. It is a little weak in the bottom curve of the upper half of the "9". However, it is more filled in than the first "3". The suffix code F083ID decipher (according to the resource I checked) says that it is a 1966 block. The engine is in the vehicle and I can't get the best look at the number by sticking my head up into the wheel well from underneath. Thanks for your help. Is there a definitive source of casting numbers on the web or in print in some publication?
