Deckpad and foam attachment

I have searched high and low for the deck pad that Dan describes in his posts. None of my suppliers have anything close to it, so I had to settle for regular beige canvas-type deck pad.
1. Can I glue my seat foam to this pad?
2. I have two sizes of foam for the seat . . . 1" and 1/2". I thought I'd glue the 1" to the pad and then "wrap" the 1/2" around this. including the sides, and hog-ring it to the bottom of the frame. Is this correct?

Yes, you can glue the seat foam to your deck pad. If you glue the 1" foam to the deck pad, then just glue the 1/2" to the 1". Let it all hang over the seat's frame about 1 1/2" to 2" and put on your seat cover. You won't need to hog ring the foam at all doing it this way.
