decode engine
trying to decode my engine. 10126CTB and 18U143837, can't seem to find information to crack this code. bought 86 camaro to turn into a toy and engine has been changed and would like to know what i am starting with.

18U143837 = 1 chevrolet,8 year ( 1978 ), U is Hamtramck, 143837 sequence #. Looks like you have a 1978 305 cid,

THANKS! already alot farther than I have gotten so far, It is going to be hard to impossible to see where it is still in the car but I will try. Just bought it and have not pulled engine out to start the project. I know it has double hump heads on it for a nice start.
