Deeper 700 r4 corvette filter ?
I have been told that the corvette had a deep filter for the 700 r4 tranny. Can't find it. Parts store can't seem to find it. Maybe there was no such animal. Apparently the corvette had a deeper pan for a couple of years??????? I putting a 200 r4 together with a deep pan and need to put in a deeper filter. Any good Ieas???

Corvette 4L60E 97up had a bit deeper filter than the others of those years.

I bet that is why we couldn't find it, it was the 4l60e which is the 700 renamed. I'll check on that. I'll take my old 200 filter with me and make sure the filter tubes are the same so i can compare them side to side. I've had the 200 r4 pan deepened a extra 1 inch to hold two more quarts of fluid and i want that pickup to be lower in the pan. I'm also running cooler tubes in the bottom of the pan to help with extra cooling. We use to do that with the 400 trannys back in the day when WE drag raced. It realy helped alot.
