I searched and did not find anything on this subject...so here I go...

Bought a delco 16008160, which is an am/fm cassette radio which from research is about an 1983. I want to put it in my monte to keep it looking stock. I paid a decent amount for it and really don't want to screw it up by trying the old trial and error method for the wiring. I bought the connectors for the radio but am having difficulty finding a wiring diagram. So here is what I have...

3 connectors:

Upper most one is black with 3 wires,
Black
Yellow
Light Gray

Middle connection is white with 4 wires,
Light Green
Dark Green
Light Brown
Dark Gray

Bottom is Blue with 4 wires,
Yellow
Light Blue
Dark Blue
Dark Brown

Any advice would be greatly appreciate as I can not find much on it.

I'm not sure about that particular model, but the Delco radios that I've worked with have the wiring pinouts labelled on the sheetmetal of the radio. Maybe on the bottom or top, near the back.

It looks like the middle and bottom harnesses w/4 leads are speaker outputs, the top one is power, ground and illumination. I believe black is gnd (should show a short to the body with an ohm meter), the grey is power and the yellow is the dial light.

Look carefully all over the sheetmetal on that baby, I remember searching the internet for pinouts on a similar (later) model then found it was right on there!

Boy do I feel like a chump... there it is... totally evident right on the bottom of the radio... Thanks alot. Black-ground Yellow- power gray-lights
