Hey Y'all,

I came across these Struts ,Shocks & Springs for 95 & above Camaro.

I have been searching all over the net & really have not found anything about these.

He said the cost in the area of $4,000.00 .

Do you guys have any Idea if they are worth that? point me in the right direction please.

I'm not a Chevy guy, but I think that is pretty steep. The de Carbon shocks mean absolutely nothing, they are pretty common and I believe are just gas pressurized like almost all shocks are any more....... for $4000, you could probably swap a 'vette suspension under the car. Much better use of that many $$$, I'd pass and let some other guy lose that lump.

I'd say they are worth about as much as any other mono-tube shock (like a Bilstein)...no so much used.

Somehow the tags on the springs look like factory GM tags.

I did a search on Delphi De Carbon and it appears that they are the originator of the gas shocks and struts http://www.kanex.bg/en/pdelphi
http://www.kanex.bg/en/decarbon Interesting drawings there.

Their stuff is a bit more spendy then the norm but I can't see them being worth that much with the exception of custom road racing equipment.

story goes

His buddy [cash no problem] bought them ,for a car he owned but before he could install them sold the car, then this guy bought them to put on his wife's car but now he skin cancer & isn't up to the task .

So I told him I would try to find out about the stuff.

But I still can't find anything that I can read in English or a price tag

If you can get the stuff for about same price that you would pay for Koni or other top line suspension pieces go for it but I wouldn't pay too high a price for the pieces.
The main thing is to find out exactly what they are and what they equal or exceed in other brands.

I would suggest doing searches with various forms of the names. You might also contact one of the vendors in UK that shows the brand. The brand seems to be popular with the Land Rover brigade there.
