Demon carb throttle bracket

Putting together the motor last night, I realized that the brackets on my throttle cables don't match up to this Demon carb that I'm using. I've been looking around and seeing some, but what do you guys think are good ones? I read the aluminum ones tend to break/bend. Also, if they have the spring returns that'd be great too. Any ideas? Thanks!

Ideally, you want the spring for the throttle return to work opposite of the cable that pulls the throttle linkage. This is so one offsets the other and the wear on the throttle shaft and shaft bore is minimised.

The exact type of throttle bracket will vary. It depends on what make engine you have, whether you have an AT or manual, if you use cruise control, etc.

Summit and Jegs have scads of brackets from various manufacturers. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find what you need there.

Was just looking at Summit and they have a lot of spring return kits, but I don't see anything that the throttle cables can attach to, just places for the springs to go.

Engine is SBC400 auto with CC.

What car, what trans, what intake?

Edelbrock has several brackets- http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive_.../general.shtml

I've used the p/n 8030 several times previously, it works fine if you need a cruise hook up.

Good luck.

I was just going to post that one up to see if that was right. That would have no problem hooking up with the Demon carb?

What you want is a bracket that mounts to the carb studs, the bracket above mounts down at the intake flange and will have too steep an angle for the cable.

Setting it up for CC will probably have you fabricating something- I don't know of any brackets to use CC w/a Victor type intake.
