Desktop Dyno call...
Hi guys,
Again, thanks for all the help that got the 460 broken in and driveable. I'm going to get it chassis dyno-tuned in about a week or so. Was just curious as to what kind of numbers the computer dynos might come up with. I figure about 450 hp and 500 lbs torque at the CRANK. The specs on the engine are: -460 Ford ( .030 over) -cam duration 236/234 at .500 -gross lift .569 -Early motorsport aluminum CJ heads (72cc) with 2.19/1.76 valves -Scorpion roller rockers -edelbrock Performer RPM -Holley Avenger (vacuum secondaries) 770 BTW, I've been taking it on short break-in/shake down runs. Today, I had it up to 70mph, but with a 2.75 gear, it was only doing about 2500 rpms, which is the bottom of the cam range, (~2200-6000) . It is great for road trips, but I gotta get a second chunk set up with some 3.50 gears for around town
