desktop dyno needed

im going to start my new project this weekend but need some help. i need someone to dyno these to see which combo will be better. there are two variables though. an xe274 cam and a magnum 280 cam, and s/r torquer heads, sportsman 2, or iron eagles 180. i know it will be 10:1 355 with rpm intake and 650 speed demon. any help wil be appreciated.

Desktop Dyno Here

You can use it to make educated guesses about how effective a change in your current combination might be. It usually doesn't come close to real world numbers. Don't be surprised when the real dyno, dragstrip dyno and butt dyno tells you that the desktop dyno is full of baloney.

Oh yeah, the XE274 and Sportsman II heads would be fine on a 383. Dart 180 heads and the same cam for a 350.

I use DD Basic to make comparisons against engines I have built in the past to get a "feel" for how a combo might work for me but I agree the actual numbers don't mean much. The results I get are much higher than the combos could ever possibly hope to make but the shape of the TQ and HP curves and RPM where changes happen are pretty close to what I have actually experienced. If you have a known combo to enter for a benchmark it can be a very useful tool.
