Why would you want to destroke your motor? Especially if you don't know the advantages and disadvantages? Do you want more power? What exactly are you looking to accomplish?

Put a 396 or 427 crank in it. Put 427 pistons in it. Call it a 427.

isn`t a 96 a 1 piece rear seal? I can`t remember when that changed the big blocks. if it`s a 1 piece, a 396 or 427 crank won`t work. like onecoomofo said, we need to know what your trying to do with the motor before we can help you.

You can use a seal adapter and use an older crank. . . no problem... question is what application do you want to use this in?
