I was wondering if anyone could direct me to a good place that sells destroker kits for a 400SBC. My searches online have led me nowhere. I am looking for very good quality and forged parts as this motor is going to be seeing alot of high RPM's and alot of nitrous. any help would be greatly apreciated.
If you have the 400 block you just need a stock stroke
350 crank, 3.48" stroke, the bearings and a set of spacer bearings, comp 5620's. Choose a rod length of 5.7 or 6.00" and then your pistons with correct Compression height, 1.250" for a 6.00" rod or 1.550" for a 5.7 rod engine.
This is a 377 CID and makes very good power from 3500 on.
i also have another question, with this setup should this be an ok nitrous motor? i am shooting for mid to low 5's in the 1/8 on spray and hopefully, high 6's low 7's on motor, in a 1998 Camaro RS body, is this possible?
