"Detroit automakers race to keep up with sales"

Some of you may have already seen this on Yahoo this morning: "Detroit automakers race to keep up with sales"

I'd say that's good new all around. Hopefully they don't go overboard and crank out too many new cars.

Not to mention all the new jobs, Geez it's funny how those bail outs work.

Well I jumped out of the work force when I was 55, and I sure as hell don't plan on jumping back in.

Funny how Ford didn't have to beg for bail outs? Now with GM and Chrysler rolling in dough they can pay the tax payer back pronto!

Ford started getting their house in order quite a few years ago, Plus they didn't make 5 brands of cars and have models that looked alike.

Back when they first brought out the Tahoe, I was invited to a Chevy dealers breakfast at the SEMA show. The CEO of the chevy Div was giving a talk about how they had to start cutting back on so many cars that looked alike, it was hard for people to tell brand name.

Then he unveils the Tahoe, and said they were going to take it out in the dessert to test it. I said to the guy with me, I thought I heard him say they had to cut back on look alike cars, all he could do was give me a confused look.
