So I just want to be sure that I understand correctly, I attempt the tufting on vinyl first, so I can figure out how to fold the material into the desired tuft sizes, then go to a leather. And you say that the type of tufting in the photo is easy? Then I will come to you when I get stuck (with a needle or otherwise ).

If you have more details, I would appreciate it. I have a feeling that I have to jump in with both feet to get a true understanding of it.
