Did the NSRA Show at Kalamazoo Get Flooded?

Just curious if the rains last weekend affected the NSRA show at Kalamazoo. Anyone go?

Talked to my friend yesterday.

He said there was a half day of nice weather and no rain. There was even a tornado warning during one of the days.

The swap meet was a muddy mess. Lots of people needed to be towed out.

At least they didn't rain it out like they did at Madison, Wi. last year.

He also told me about 3 street rod accidents that the people were talking about.

He brought me a great looking event shirt.

Sort of glad we didn't go this year.

I think we'll go next year because it's the 30th anniversary.

Kalamazoo

Kalamazoo was a complete rain out Saturday and Sunday. I have been to alot of NSRA shows and this was the hardest rain I have seen. I did hear some say it was worse in Tennessee one year. Still enjoyed going and on Sunday you would never know it rained as hard and long with all the people in the stands.

my gf's dad and I wanted to go there, he says every year it gets rained out. They had to postpone a march of dimes motorcycle ride, and a NHRA nats event at US 131 dragway as well.

That is far from the truth. I have been going to Kalamazoo for years. The past 6 or 7 years as a vendor, and probably 10 years before that as a spectator. This year was the worst it has ever been. It has never been rained out before. Maybe a couple hours of rain in one afternoon, but it has never been this bad!
