diesel truck blues...

wow hello.
I had allway's heard owing a for hire was more trouble than it's worth.Even though the price of fuel is never really an issue, no matter how much people tell you they put out it's still penny's to dollars profit$. hahahaha Airlines are pulling this swindle too. "fuel inputs doibled" so what going from .05 to .12 per passenger mile still leaves .40-.75 per passenger mile depending on the amount of private air freight, prison transfer, or first class full price tickets. anyway's I do digress.
The reall reaon i'm here is to learn stuff about practical application of knowledge.
Currently I have just rebuilt a th400 it did not take. no I have no reverse or foward gears. ((( I need help bad. I put back everything the way it came out plus replacing all the burnt parts with new stuff. I did not have any trouble getting the casing back together or aligning the torque converters fully onto the transmission splnes. I put 2 quarts in the torque converter. Dexron2 10 quarts inthe tranny till it come out of the over flow tube. I did however start it once while it had 4quarts. would this had damaged it???
