difference 305 ecm/350 ecm...need help thanx

im not sure if this is the section i need to be in....

I have a 91 caprice, it has tbi 305 in it....i am putting a 350 in it and i was wondering how i could find out what ecm module i could use so it would work with my caprice.....can it only be out of another caprice or is there other cars the ecm would work for......

I believe my throttle body is controled by the ecm and the 350 would need more gas, the ecm would have to be changed in order for the motor to operate better correct.....im not sure, i need to know if i can just get a ecm that had a tbi 350 in it and wonder if it would work.....im not sure what to do or where to look????.....Thanks for a response

The ECM is the same all you need to change is the PROM. You should be able to get one from GM still.

Go here, do a search, read lots, be happy

Lots of great GM ECM info here (not just f-bodies). Make sure to search and read BEFORE asking questions! There are plenty of helpful folks there but they can get a little testy if you ask a simple question that has had 15 in-depth tutorials written on it. After you read if you have specific questions fire away...
