Super interesting stuff there. I don't know if I would be doing ANYTHING other than restoring ANY vintage Corvette though. But it sure looks cool. The bug, I said it before, super cool idea and I like it.

Yes, it was my first try at many things. Welding, painting, body work, fiberglass. I had never even used a reciprocating saw or angle grinder prior to working on that car. Can't say any of it was first class but worth it for the learning experience.
The corvette was/is a 1977. I wanted a one of a kind. Hopefully that will be a good thing.

Sweet ride! one thing for sure. I would put a roll cage in it. With that much power and torque its going to be really tempting to put your foot in it

I'm interested in how you modified the Eldorado tortion bar setup, This little Econoline was butchered into place, but I'm going to clean it up into a nostailgia street cruiser/wheelstander. Always lookin' for a better idea. Thanks, Paul

I don't mind well modified Vettes of any age. But major body mods are a detriment both in aesthetics and value in most all cases, IMO.
As far as V-dubs go and especially beetles, I must admit to a total lack of interest. So I'll say no more on that.
