Post differential ring and pinnion

i have an 82 firebird trans-am it has the small 7 5/8 ring and pinnon in it. it is a posi i have a buddy that rolled his 91 s10 blazer and i took the ring and pinnon out of it . the ring gear has 41 teeth and the pinnon gear has 12 teeth on it , what gear ratial is this ? i know that if the ring gear has 41 teeth and the pinnon gear has 10 teeth on it it is a 4 10 gear , so what would this one be . hope you can help me thank you .

Simple math....divide 41 by 12 and you get 3.41666 or round it off to 3.42. Your ratio is 3.42 : 1.
