Differnt cross members?

I am currently redoing an 84 chevy 4x4, it HAD a 305 manual and i beleive a NP 208 t-case the cross member worked find for that setup, the cross member kind of looks like an M in a way. now i got a big block with a th350 and a 205 t-case, the mounting for the 208 was on the adapter from tranny to t-case and the 205 has the mount built onto the t-case. the guy i got the 205 from had part of the crossmember on the tcase but cut both ends off so i dont know what they look like, or even if they changed the style? If someone could please help would be great. Thanks

The mounting of New Process 203-205-208's were all by an adapter plate that acted as both the adapter from the transmission to the transfer case, and the mount for both.

I have had all three here in my shop, and the mounts for automatics are different from the manual transmissions even with the same transfer case, but not in every case, I have had a couple in here that the crossmembers were similar between auto and standard, but never made a good note of them.

I have seen 5 different crossmembers for Chevy/GMC trucks from 1973 to 1987 just in the standard transmission models, and at least 4 in the automatic models so far.

I know for sure that I still have a half dozen crossmembers laying around in storage, maybe someday I'll find time to take some pictures.
