i had a new steering column put on my cutlass and now when i turn on my head lights i hear a ding ding sound, also when i press the brake pedal the yellow park lights come on. can somebody tell me what is going on?

Off hand, I'd say the Park lamps were wired into the turn/Brake system in error, and now react with those circuits..most likely culprit is the plug at the bottom of the column..check for a mis~wire..the park lamps (front) Traditionally go to a terminal on the light switch..not the rear lamp harness.

The Ding~Ding, may be the headlight on chime which should shut off with the ignition switch in the on position. Check to see the chime timer isn't wired to a "Hot at all times " power source..If it is move it to "Hot in Run Only" and it will work.
