Disc Brake Conversion

I am changing out my drum brakes and going with disc on the front of my 66 Impala. Is there a big difference between manufactures of Power Boosters and Master Cylinders?? I purchased the drop spindles. And now I am shoping for the rest of the brake components. I am able to use 83 Malibu rotors, pads, and calipers on the new drop spindles...... I just do not want to go cheap on a Power Booster and Master Cylinder if there is a big difference between manufactures........... Any input would be great.......... Thanks....

What about a booster/MC from a 69-70 Impala with factory single-piston disc brakes?

There should not be any difference in the quality of manufactures of these components, some plants used one brand ,while other plants used another brands. HTH.

Good Luck,

Troy,

all done

I got my drop spindles and brakes on just in time for our Local Hot August Nights ( Reno, Nevada ). I went with a non powered disc setup and am very happy. My car stops great. Can not wait to get the disc's on the rear.........

Cool Black. I have one question, did the kit kick your tires out a little?
