Post Disc brakes

I still have the stock front end under my 54 f 100,I would like to upgrade to disc.,and add power steering, without stubbing it,if possible. I already have wheels with the stock bolt pattern and and would like to keep them on the truck.

Larry,

In my opinion you are expecting alot. I think I have seen where someone was rebuilding GM 605 PS boxes to fit in the F100s. I have not heard of an easy disk break conversion that does not involve a new front end. You might want to check out Stainless Steel brake Corp. I know they make disk brake conversions for alot of popular vehicles. I think an experienced machinest / fabricator could modify a set of existing rotors to fit on the hubs of the ford and then fab out the brackets to support a set of calipers.

If you are willing to purchase a new kit, I would give Fat Man Fabrications a call first (704)545-0369. Let them know your plans, and see if they can help. Good Luck.
