Disc Brakes on a 1956 Cadillac

I'm in the process of planning out a brake upgrade for my 56 Cadillac Coupe De Ville and was wondering the best way to go about getting disc brakes on the front of the car. I've read that it's best to find a year/model close to mine that had disc brakes and use parts from it, but there aren't any that I can find close to mine that had disc brakes. I also haven't been able to find any kind of kit for my car. Does anyone happen to know of any kits for my car or which year/model I could use parts from without any problems?

A lot of rodders say that Scarebird helped them with their uncommon cars brake conversions ...

You can try these guys too,
http://www.braketechsolutions.com/BTSV101/Index.php

I've spoken with the owner several times and he seems honest and helpful, even if he couldn't sell me something.
They have a bunch of ready made kits, and build custom brake kits as well.

I just ordered a disc brake kit and pedal assembly from them, we'll see pretty soon what their quality is like.

Later, mikey

Both Baer and SSBC have told me that they will make up most anything you could ever want in the line of brakes.

I second the Scarebird stuff, for a few reasons. Customer service , quality and the kits are built on the basis of bolt on kits and uses common parts one can buy at any parts store.

Thanks for the links, I just emailed scarebird, they seem to have the same kind of thing I'm looking for.
