disc brakes

i want to add a 97 camaro rear end to my 62 chevy i've got everything figured out but the brakes. i have disc brakes on the front ,do i need a proportoining valve to make the rear brakes work properly?

Yes, you will need a proportioning valve and also a master cylinder designed for disc brake application.
