Disc Brakes for '78 Ford Courier (Mazda) Truck
My brother-in-law has a really neat '28 Model A Ford pickup street rod...top chopped four inches, bed shortened to three feet, 383 stroker power...that was built on a 1978 Ford Courier (Mazda) pickup frame.
The rear brakes are adequate, since the rearend is a narrowed 3.73 locker out of a '94 Ford Explorer, but the original Mazda drum brakes up front simply don't contribute much to stopping effort. Does anyone have a clue as to what kind of donor vehicle he needs to hunt down for replacement spindles and disc brake setup, preferably with 5 X 4.5 wheelstud pattern?? |
