Disc brakes model a Ibeam front

I bought an unfinished project,1931 model A 5 window coupe. It has a super bell 4" drop I beam axle and aftermarket 37 to 41 spindles w/no arms. I am looking in speedway and was wondering if there is any track width differance between the pre 78 disc conversion and the 78 up kit? Also is one better than the other and reason why? I want the chevy bolt pattern 5 on 4 3/4.Any help would be great.

Disc brakes model A I beam front

The difference between the two brake kits is that the pre-'78 uses standard hardware and the post-'78 uses metric. Other than that and the price there isn't any difference.

When you get around to buying your steering arms for your spindles, go to Chassis engineering. They market arms that the mounting bolts go through and are nutted. In the other type of arms, the bolt goes into a blind hole. The CE arms come in two drops. you are going to want the ones for a model A, the deeper drop, for your axle.
