Disk Brakes and Lowering a 69 Riviera

Just boucht a 69 Riviera and would like to lower it a couple of inches and upgrade it to disc brakes. Wondering if I can swap spindles like a Chevy Impala with a 2" drop that would also be set up with disks, or just by a disk conversion kit and use 2" lowering springs? It is a E Platform and can't find any info on it, accept that Chev, Pontiac, Olds used a similar platform, I beleive it was a B Platform just a shorter wheel base. I have been told that the rear end uses Chevy Control arms 64-67 Chevell.

Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi,
Disc brakes were an option on the 69 riv, but the drum
brakes on the riv are very good, I don't know if I'd change
them.

Riviera Brakes

Rich,

Thank you for your comment. Yes I know that the original Riviera drum brakes are suppose to be goo, it's just finding parts for them, especially the drums. I have decided not to go with the dropped spindle, since the Riv starts with 5" ground clearence I don't think I want to lower the frame anybore than it already is. Maybe shorter springs or air bags.
