disk breaks

i went to do the rear disks on my falcon today and i cant comprease them enough to get the new pads over the rotor.

a mate told me that its to do with the hand break cable but i fully losened it of and it still wont move i think the calipars are PBR ones

The caliper piston goes in when you turn it slightly. The turning motion is how the parking brake works. Its on a cam like device.

so when i turn that leaver on the end it will open more? wont they be semi locked on when i realese it ??

you have to take the lever off, turn in the piston and then put the lever back on.
