dist. tune up

Hello one and all and I wish you all a Happy holiday season.
The question Is I have a Buick 455 W/9.6:1 and Stage one Heads, what is the proper way to set up an MSD dist so I can get my all in advance without advancing too far too fast I have been told the 455 likes total advance at 22-2400 wot. As I am learning theres quite a science to setting them up correctly .Thanks In Advance , Ben
