Question Distributer/alternator Wiring Help

hi im trying to help my son who has just installed a v8 into his s-10 and man what a headache.he has not marked his wiring and i could use some help on wiring the distributer which is a points type with a pertronix conversion with a accel super stock coil. is there a web sight that i might be able to get a wiring diagram? he also has a three wire alternator i was thinking the white wire on the plug is for the warning light and the red is constant hot as well as a constant hot on the rear im i close?any help would save an old man a few grey hairs. thanks guys.

Dont know how much I am going to help but here goes.
There should be a large diameter wire with a eye terminal on it that goes on the post on the back of the alternator. There will also be a two wire connector that fits into top or side of the alternator. I am not sure of the wire colors, but it will be the only connector that will fit the alternator.
As far as the aftermarket ignition system, I am going to assume that all you need is a power wire to run it. Use the same distributor power supply that was used for the original S-10 ignition. I would assume that pertronix could provide you with a diagram for their system.
